ODM Gearbox Manufacturing for Industrial Valve and Transmission Applications

ODM gearbox manufacturing covers the full path from design to production — not just building to your print. Where OEM means we make your drawings, ODM means we co-develop the gearbox: requirement analysis, CAD design and 3D modeling, prototype and sample manufacturing, testing, and optimization. ODM suits customers who need a new worm gear operator developed and produced under their brand.

What is ODM

What Is ODM Gearbox Manufacturing?

ODM (Original Design Manufacturing) means the manufacturer participates in design and development, not only production. The customer brings requirements; the manufacturer engineers the gearbox, builds prototypes, validates performance, and produces under the customer brand. ODM closes the gap for customers who need a custom gearbox but do not maintain a gear-design office.

Difference Between OEM and ODM Gearbox Manufacturing

In OEM (build-to-print) the customer owns the design and supplies drawings. In ODM the manufacturer co-develops the design from the customer's requirements, then produces it. ODM customers gain engineering capability and faster development; OEM customers retain full design control. Both can be delivered under private label.

Common Questions

Frequently Asked Questions

What is ODM gearbox manufacturing?+

ODM (Original Design Manufacturing) means the manufacturer designs and develops the gearbox from the customer's requirements, then produces it under the customer brand. It includes requirement analysis, CAD and 3D modeling, prototype manufacturing, testing, and optimization — suiting customers who need a new gearbox developed without maintaining an in-house gear-design office.

Can you design custom valve gearboxes from scratch?+

Yes. ODM development engineers a custom worm or bevel gearbox from your operating requirements — valve duty, torque, ratio, mounting, and environment — through CAD design, prototype build, and validation testing before release to production. The finished design can be produced under your private label.

Do you support prototype and sample production?+

Yes. Functional prototypes and samples are manufactured during ODM development so torque, durability, and fit can be validated before mass production tooling is committed. Test results and design refinements are documented and fed back into the released production design.

Can gearbox torque and ratios be customized?+

Yes. Output torque, gear ratio, and self-locking geometry are engineered to the target valve duty during ODM development. Custom torque and custom ratio requirements are designed in from the start rather than adapted from a fixed catalog unit. Specifications are confirmed by testing before production.

What industries do your ODM gearboxes serve?+

ODM gearboxes are developed for water treatment, oil and gas, power generation, mining, marine, and industrial automation. Material, protection rating, and architecture are engineered for each sector's environment and load. Detailed specifications are confirmed per developed design — request a datasheet for a specific program.
